Raised in New Jersey.   He did his undergraduate studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Medical Studies at the University of the Caribbean in Florida. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.  His postdoctoral training was completed at Robert Wood Johnson, Rutgers Medical School where he was also a former clinical instructor of Medicine.
