Raised in New Jersey, he completed his undergraduate studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University and earned his medical degree through the University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Florida. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine. His postgraduate training was completed at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital/Rutgers Medical School, where he also served as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine.
